Penalties, marijuana and condoms: what has changed in the legislation for 2017?

This year was full of events: in the legislation, much has changed, the penalties have significantly increased, and the sentences tightened. And that’s not all. In this article we will discuss all major changes in 2017.

Higher penalties

Those drivers that do not form an emergency lane to pass emergency vehicles or as a place on the road since October are required to pay larger fines: up to €320. In addition, they face a month ban on driving.

Phone calls behind the wheel now also have to pay more. This year is completely forbidden to drive a car, if you have a hidden face.

Marijuana prescription

Since March, doctors are allowed to prescribe marijuana patients. Before treatment from the health insurance Fund even you can request a refund. To do this, the Federal Institute of drugs and medical supplies no longer need to obtain permission in exceptional cases.

The mandatory use of condoms

In July, the law on the protection of the prostitutes made a lot of changes, the main purpose of which was the best protection of prostitutes from violence, trafficking and pimping. All clients were obliged to use condoms.

The abolition of roaming charges in the EU

Under the new changes the cost of calls, SMS and mobile Internet within the EU should not be different from that contemplated by the plan. This means that those who have in their own country have the unlimited tariff plan will be able to enjoy it while abroad within the EU without additional costs. Removal of roaming is valid also in Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Marriage for all

This year, all same-sex couples have the right to officially marry and to adopt children.
